Joy Residential

The Joy Residential Building is located in the Misarya area of Sozopol, within a newly developed coastal district, close to Harmani Beach. The surroundings are characterised by modern residential developments, newly built infrastructure, and convenient access to both the beach and nearby green areas. The project is designed to offer compact holiday apartments, suitable for seasonal living as well as long-term investment.

The building has a total built-up area of 1,000 m² and comprises 16 apartments, evenly distributed between two residential wings. The initial brief focused on creating small, efficient units including a living area, bedroom, bathroom and generous terrace. From the design stage, the structure allows for the combination of two adjacent apartments into a larger dwelling, providing flexibility according to market demand and future use.

The building is freestanding and benefits from excellent natural daylight from all orientations. The vertical circulation core is positioned centrally, dividing the volume into two symmetrical sections, each containing eight apartments. This layout avoids long internal corridors and ensures greater privacy and independence for residents. The mirrored apartment configuration allows for easy spatial transformation while maintaining efficient circulation.

Modern Design.

The architectural expression of the Joy Residential Building is defined by clean lines and simple geometric forms, reflecting the contemporary character of the neighbourhood. Carefully selected façade materials and finishes align with current residential design trends, achieving a balance between modern aesthetics, functionality and durability. The building integrates harmoniously into its urban context while contributing to the evolving architectural identity of the area.
